ADAM STINE

ELDER / PASTOR

After growing up in middle Tennessee, I attended college at East Tennessee State University. It was during my collegiate years that God transformed my heart. He made it clear that He had a plan for me to serve in ministry. I met my wife Mckenzie around that time, and we have been married for seven years. After serving for about a year as overseas missionaries, Mckenzie and I decided to settle in the tri-cities. With a small group of people in the Tri-Cities, I got my Masters Degree in Christian Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mckenzie and I moved to Hampton in 2021, and have been so grateful to call Hampton home ever since. Our son, Graham, was born in October 2023. The three of us love life in the beautiful mountains of northeast Tennessee.

SHANE DARLING

ELDER | COMMUNITY LIFE PASTOR

I grew up in Indiana and came to know Christ as a teenager—a moment that transformed my life and set the foundation for everything that followed. After attending Berea College in Kentucky, I moved to East Tennessee, where I met my wife, Amy. We were married in 2001 and have been blessed with four amazing children who are now grown.

Before entering ministry, I served 16 years in law enforcement. During that time, I felt a growing call to serve God in a deeper way. That calling led Amy and I to Fairhaven Ministries in Roan Mountain, where I began ministering and felt my heart being shaped for pastoral care. This led me to pursue further education with a focus on biblical counseling.

I’m honored to serve as an Elder and Community Life Pastor here at Hampton Community Church. It’s a joy to walk alongside this church family, helping others grow in faith and connection. I look forward to what God has in store for our church and community.
